Pictures with Santa

As you can see Addison's first visit to see Santa did not go over so well. As soon as we sat her down on his lap the hysteria started. We really didn't think she would be bothered by him since he looked like a pretty decent Santa, but of course we were wrong.

Daddy and I still thought the picture was hilarious so of course we had to get them. Hopefully she will look back at this one day and laugh!

Now everytime we get near a santa decoration, she starts freaking out. I think we have traumatized our kid for life....

Halloween 2008

For all of my Kappa Delta sisters, of course Addison was a lady bug again this year for Halloween. She went to our schools fall festival and then went to Nonnie and Poppers to trick or treat. She actually enjoyed seeing all the kids dressed up in costumes and wasn't scared one bit. Actually we are wondering if she is a little too brave for her own good!

Addison's First Trip to the Beach

Well, mom and I were very brave to have a baby going to Florida on standby, I say brave but maybe stupid would be a better adjective.

Addison took her first trip on a plane to go and see her Great Aunt Jean. She was actually really good on all four flights considering leaving Louisville we were on a two hour delay and then coming home ended up being a 10 hour delay. She slept mostly through every flight and the portable dvd was a life saver.

We took her to the beach, and let's just say it was not her most favorite thing to do by any means. She was actually scared of the ocean, as you can see in the slide show above, and wouldn't come off of the towel to step in the sand. However, she did like her beach toys and was pretty content to sit by mommy on the towel and play with those.

Addison's First Birthday

Addison turned 1 on October 26, 2008. She had a great time at her Puzzles Fun Dome Party. She liked having all of her friends and family there to celebrate, along with getting some really cool toys that are now scattered throughout our home.

As far as the cake went, she actually liked it, however she never did dive in and start demolishing it. Instead she would pinch some between her fingers and carefully eat it.

She is now walking around everywhere, talking jibberish all the time, and becoming extremely hard headed and defiant. (we have no clue where she gets it from)

Huber Orchard and Winery

11 months and counting

Well, our little princess is almost a year old. As we come upon her birthday it is hard to imagine when she was just six pounds and so small. How quickly they all grow up. She is weighing in at 22 pounds now and is crusing around everywhere. Addison can stand about a minute at a time by herself, however, we still don't have the walking thing down yet.

She is getting really good at doing the isty, bitsy spider, patty cake, and high fives! Daddy says she is starting to act more like me every day, she does have somewhat of an attitude I will admit. Boy when she wants something there is nothing stopping her, especially when it comes to food. She is a great little eater and even likes things like, chinese noodles, deviled eggs, and broccoli. We have her down to eating table food all day and only taking two bottles a day now.

We are pretty happy that Cali and her are friends now. Addison will take her toys and then play tug of war with her, she giggles and laughs about it thinking Cali really likes playing with her.

First Trip to the Zoo

Addison's first trip to the zoo proved to be a little unevently as far as she was concerned. We thought she would actually pay attention to the animals since one of our friends sons showed interest and he is a month younger, however no luck here. Our little princess liked the people and kids a whole lot more than the animals.

Actually, she did like the wolves (we think she thought they looked like callie), the gorillas, and the anteaters. Other than the animals I just mentioned, she could care less. Oh well, there is always next year...
